One of the most familiar names in wheelchair racing, Carlos Moleda is seen as a pioneer for the sport. A Navy SEAL and purple heart recipient, Moleda was injured in the line of duty and paralyzed in 1989.
Since his injury, he has become a world-renowned competitive sports athlete. He won the 367-mile Sadlers Ultra Challenge handcycle race in Alaska, is a 6-time National Handcycling Champion and 5-time Hawaii IRONMAN Champion. Carlos is a CAF Ambassador, an Operation Rebound coach and head coach for the CAF Women’s Handcycling Team.
